New York corporate partner Marie Gibson spoke at American Conference Institute's "6th Advanced Forum on M&A and Strategic Alliances in the Life Sciences Industries," held April 27-28 in New York. Ms. Gibson took part in a panel discussion titled "Traditional M&A v. an Option Deal: Weighing Control and Risk, and Playing the Price Game." Topics included timing, balancing the allocation of risk while still making the deal desirable to the other side, best practices to avoiding pitfalls in structuring an option deal and which pursuits are still best suited for a traditional M&A, among others.
