On September 24, São Paulo corporate partner Filipe Areno participated in the 8th Annual Brazilian M&A and Private Equity Forum, held in São Paulo and hosted by the Mergermarket Group. The event addressed the current state of M&A and private equity activity in Brazil and focused on identifying investment opportunities and challenges in Latin America's largest market. Felipe participated in a panel discussion titled "Need to Know: Doing Business in Brazil," which focused on, among other things, how current political and economic conditions in Brazil have affected M&A transactions involving foreign acquirers and Brazilian targets.
