New York tax head Stuart Finkelstein spoke on "Federal Tax Considerations" at a PLI seminar titled "Mergers & Acquisitions 2016: Trends and Developments," held January 14-15 in New York. Mr. Finkelstein's presentation focused on taxable acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, asset versus stock acquisitions, spinoffs and split-offs, and Internal Revenue Code Section 382 and NOL (net operating loss) rights plans.
