Washington, D.C. tax partner Paul Oosterhuis spoke at "International Tax Issues 2016," a PLI seminar held September 12 in Chicago. Mr. Oosterhuis participated in a panel discussion titled "Cross Border M&A Tax Planning," which focused on acquisitions of foreign targets and of U.S. targets with foreign subsidiaries, foreign multinationals acquiring U.S. targets, Internal Revenue Code Sections 367 and 7874 developments, debt-funded acquisitions and intercompany leverage, and maximizing the use of foreign cash to fund acquisitions.
