Washington, D.C. tax of counsel William Alexander, global tax co-head Stuart Finkelstein, New York executive compensation and benefits counsel Jeffrey Lieberman, Chicago tax partner Sarah Ralph, and Boston tax partner Moshe Spinowitz spoke at the Joint Fall CLE Meeting presented in Boston September 29-October 1 by the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and the Trust and Estate Law Division of the Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law.

Mr. Alexander moderated a panel discussion on the Treasury Department's proposed regulations under Section 385. Mr. Finkelstein participated in a panel discussion on the consolidated earnings and profits rules. Mr. Lieberman discussed recent updates in law and regulatory guidance applicable to M&A benefits aspects. Ms. Ward's panel focused on the changes to the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act made in the Protecting Americans From Tax Hikes Act. Mr. Spinowitz's panel addressed the changing environment impacting cash management.
