Palo Alto tax partner Nathan Giesselman, Palo Alto counsel Matthew Kramer and Washington, D.C. counsel Carl Erdmann spoke at the High Tech Tax Institute, presented by Tax Executives Institute and San Jose State University November 7-8 in Palo Alto. Mr. Giesselman's panel focused on "Section 385 Regulations." Mr. Kramer participated in a panel discussion titled "Transfer Pricing," which focused on recent developments in case law, regulations and advance pricing agreements. Mr. Erdmann's panel, "Hot State Tax Topics," focused on the latest hot spots in state taxation, including tax havens, incentives and embedded software, among others.
