The Palo Alto office held its seventh annual antitrust seminar and reception January 18. "Antitrust in the Technology Sector: Policy Perspectives and Insights From the Enforcers," co-presented with economic consulting firm Charles River Associates, focused on the key antitrust and enforcement issues facing technology companies. The keynote speaker was Deborah Feinstein, director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition. Skadden speakers and event organizers included Brussels partner Ingrid Vandenborre; New York partner Maria Raptis; Washington, D.C. partners Tara Reinhart and Steven Sunshine; and Palo Alto partner Kenton King. The first panel provided a "Merger Enforcement Update and Outlook," and the second panel discussed the "Role of Antitrust in Protecting Innovation."
