New York tax partner Pamela Lawrence Endreny spoke at "Taxation of Financial Products and Transactions 2017," a PLI seminar held on January 17 in New York. Ms. Endreny took part in a discussion titled "Interesting Issues With Swaps Under Current Law," which focused on taxpayers with multiple lots of stock underlying a swap, wash sales and deemed exchanges, credit default swaps over an FX bond and contingent nonperiodic payments.
