New York private clients/trusts and estates partner Amy Heller, Chicago tax partner Sarah Ralph and New York tax partner David Rievman spoke at the USC Gould School of Law 2018 Tax Institute on January 29-31. Ms. Heller presented during a session titled “The World Is Flat: Planning for Multinational and Migratory Families.” Ms. Ralph spoke during programs titled “Inbound Real Estate Investments: An Overview of the Tax Rules Applicable to Foreign Investors in U.S. Real Estate” and “Partnership and Real Estate Hot Topics.” And Mr. Rievman, who also serves on the institute’s planning committee, spoke on “Recent Developments in Section 355 Tax-Free Spin-Offs.”
