On June 5, Skadden presented a seminar — “Doing Business With China: Why Arbitration Matters?” — in conjunction with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). The panelists, including Skadden international litigation and arbitration partner Timothy Nelson and Zhong Lun partner Jinlin Nan, spoke about key considerations when contracting with Chinese parties and selecting effective dispute resolution mechanisms. HKIAC Secretary-General Sarah Grimmer discussed Hong Kong’s role in dispute resolution involving Chinese and foreign parties, and recent trends and developments at HKIAC relevant to such disputes.
