On December 11, Skadden held a webinar titled “What’s New in Antitrust Enforcement at the Federal Trade Commission?” The program reviewed some of the Federal Trade Commission’s more significant recent antitrust developments, including enforcement actions, the commission’s tougher stance on merger remedies, policy statements on the need to investigate mergers for labor-related issues, merger and conduct-related litigations, and the FTC’s ongoing “Hearings on Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century,” in which agency staff and antitrust practitioners debate whether FTC enforcement has been too lax in a number of areas.
