23rd Annual Energy and Infrastructure Projects Conference

On May 14, Skadden held its 23rd annual Energy and Infrastructure Projects Conference in Washington, D.C., focusing on current opportunities in energy and infrastructure projects. Topics included M&A trends, growth of energy storage, developments in financing, energy markets, trade negotiations, Latin America and tax equity.

Skadden speakers included partners David Armstrong, Lance Brasher, Julia Czarniak, Tatiana Monastyrskaya, Aryan Moniri, Ethan Schultz and Sean Shimamoto, and counsel Jorge Kamine, Megan Kultgen and Nike Opadiran. Keynote speakers included Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Jeff Gerrish and Pattern Energy CEO Mike Garland. Other speakers included executives from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Enel Green Power North America, First Solar, GE Energy Financial Services, IFC, JPMorgan, Macquarie, Morgan Stanley, NextEra Energy, and representatives from other energy and financial services companies.

The conference was preceded by a dinner and briefing on May 13, focusing on PG&E updates, investment treaties and CFIUS issues. Skadden speakers at the pre-conference briefing included partners Julie Bédard, David Herlihy, Eric Ivester, Michael Leiter and Donald Vieira, and of counsel Clifford Naeve.
