On October 17, Skadden and KPMG Japan co-hosted a seminar at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tokyo focused on key topics and recent life sciences M&A developments. The program included an opening address, four panel discussions, closing remarks and a cocktail reception. The event’s topics covered trends in the development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in the U.S., digitalization, key differences between listed and private companies, and conditional payout schemes. Skadden speakers included Tokyo office head Mitsuhiro Kamiya; partners Jennifer Bragg, Kenton King, Akira Kumaki, Ken Kumayama, William McConagha and Resa Schlossberg; and Asia Pacific counsel Louis Artime.
