On June 25, Palo Alto office head Joseph Yaffe and Palo Alto litigation head Jack DiCanio spoke at Stanford University’s 30th annual Directors’ College.
Mr. Yaffe participated in the breakout session “Current Issues for Compensation Committees,” which explored the latest trends and key challenges facing compensation committees. The panelists offered tools and insights to help effectively recruit and retain executives while addressing regulatory requirements, proxy advisory firm recommendations, investor expectations and public sentiment surrounding executive pay.
Mr. DiCanio spoke in the breakout session “Defend Your Company, Defend Yourself: Private Litigation and Government Investigations,” which examined a series of cutting-edge litigation issues that can threaten corporations, directors and senior executives, with an emphasis on practical strategies for minimizing and insuring against these risks and responding to an investigation or litigation if the challenge arises.
