On June 19, Skadden co-hosted the seminar “Navigating Energy & Infrastructure Trends: Investment Opportunities, Legal Risks, Stakeholder Communication and Cross-Border Execution” in partnership with Kekst CNC Tokyo and the Japan Institute for Overseas Investment. The event brought together professionals from Japan-based energy and infrastructure companies and legal and investment organizations to discuss how rising energy demand, increased joint venture activity and geopolitical fragmentation are reshaping cross-border investment. Skadden speakers included Houston corporate partners Emory Choi and Mingda Zhao and Tokyo corporate partner Akira Kumaki. The panelists explored how transaction outcomes can be influenced by critical execution challenges, such as narratives tailored to local contexts and risks related to timing, stakeholders and alignment.
