Earlier this week, President Barack Obama sent several online privacy and cybersecurity initiatives to Congress, including new legislative proposals and new public-private collaborations with the financial, energy and education sectors. This plan builds upon the president’s 2013 executive order to address cybersecurity, while acknowledging the limits on the executive branch’s ability to address the issue without congressional action.
