Scott A. Heard
Scott Heard is head of Skadden’s private credit practice and has significant experience in lender-side private credit transactions. He advises agents, lenders (traditional and alternative) and financial institutions on a broad spectrum of sophisticated financings.
Bio
Mr. Heard’s practice encompasses a wide array of complex financial arrangements, including acquisition financings, dividend recapitalization financings, asset-backed loans, cash flow loans, liability management transactions and special situations loans, and he frequently advises on the finance aspects of debt restructurings and workouts.
With an extensive understanding of the intricacies of private credit and direct lending products, Mr. Heard provides high-level counsel on distressed debt facilities, DIP loans, bridge financings and cross-border and multi-currency loans. He also frequently represents agents and lenders in intercreditor agreements, multi-tiered financing facilities and secondlien and unitranche loan facilities (including tranche B financings and other first out/last out structures).
