Andrew J. Woo
Bio
Andrew Woo’s practice focuses on high-stakes commercial litigation, government investigations and white collar matters. Mr. Woo represents corporations, directors, offcers and individuals in federal and state courts, as well as in private arbitration. He has represented companies in the technology, automotive, health insurance, real estate and manufacturing industries, among other sectors.
Mr. Woo’s experience includes representing:
- a leading supplier of semiconductor test equipment in a complex arbitration that resulted in a successful settlement
- a health care company in state litigation involving allegations of bad faith insurance denials and tort claims
- a technology company in a False Claims Act investigation
- various companies in internal investigations and investigations brought by the Department of Justice
- a client in a civil enforcement action alleging securities fraud
- an automobile company in a nationwide consumer class action alleging defects
- a social media company in multidistrict litigation and state-coordinated proceedings alleging design defects
- a real estate startup in a matter involving land use and constitutional issues
Mr. Woo provides pro bono legal services to a variety of clients, including successfully securing political asylum for a client in immigration court and assisting a client in obtaining a conservatorship in family court.
He is also co-chair of Skadden’s Palo Alto Summer Associate Committee and is actively involved in the firm’s recruiting program and mentoring initiatives.
