Skadden is advising OAK Global on the establishment of a new Lloyd’s of London syndicate (Syndicate 1440), which will underwrite retrocession business with an appetite for property and specialty. Syndicate 1440, operating under the strategic business unit OAK Enterprise, has obtained permission from Lloyd’s to begin underwriting on January 1, 2026.
OAK Global is a global risk partner based in London, underwriting primary reinsurance and retrocession through OAK Reinsurance and OAK Enterprise, its strategic business units.
