Skadden is advising GE Vernova Inc. on its agreement to acquire Trench Group from private equity firm Triton Partners. Under the purchase agreement, GE Vernova will pay $9 billion USD equivalent at closing. The acquisition is expected to close in late 2027, subject to the completion of customary regulatory approvals and consultation with employee representatives where legally required.

Trench Group, a technology provider of high-voltage grid equipment, is headquartered in Germany and has more than 3,000 employees and 11 manufacturing sites across Europe, North America and Asia.
