Cross-Border M&A Conference 2017

On May 1, Skadden hosted its annual Cross-Border M&A Conference in New York. This year's conference, "Market Landscape and Risks," focused on the impact of the new administration. The first panel, comprised of partners Nobuhisa Ishizuka, Sally Thurston and Ivan Schlager and counsel Nathaniel Bolin, discussed market prospects under the new administration. Skadden partners Mitsuhiro Kamiya and Michael Mies were joined by Geoffrey Baldwin of GCA Corporation and Michael Baisley of SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. to discuss implications for the M&A market. Finally, partners John Beisner, Bradley Klein and Kenji Taneda and counsel Tiffany Rider covered criminal liability risks for Japanese corporations.
