Executive Compensation: Strategy, Design and Implementation

West Coast executive compensation and benefits head Joseph Yaffe and Washington, D.C. corporate partner Brian Breheny participated in a seminar on executive compensation sponsored by the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education Group. The event, titled “Executive Compensation: Strategy, Design and Implementation,” addressed the most recent legislative and regulatory initiatives, and offer a comprehensive analysis of the most relevant executive and director compensation issues facing practitioners and human resource professionals. A diverse faculty of private counsel, technical experts, and former and current government officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Treasury and IRS examined the ever-evolving aspects of executive compensation from legal, tax, accounting and business perspectives. On June 20, Mr. Yaffe participated in a panel titled “Strategies and Tactics in Negotiating CEO Arrangements,” and on June 21, Mr. Breheny joined a panel discussion titled “Proxy Statements and Litigation Challenges to Compensation Disclosures.”
