Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration Symposium

Timothy G. Nelson

Skadden's International Litigation and Arbitration Group hosted the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration's 40th "International Arbitration Symposium: Investment Arbitration in the Asia-Pacific," on February 25 in our Washington, D.C. office. The symposium provided an opportunity for arbitration practitioners to come together to discuss the most recent developments in investment arbitration in Asia Pacific, including the proliferation of intra-Asia disputes, changes in policy on investment arbitration across China, India and Australia, and the potential impacts of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Guest speakers included Jeremy K. Sharpe, chief of investment arbitration in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State, and Skadden New York international litigation and arbitration partner Timothy G. Nelson.
