Executive Compensation 2017: Avoiding Traps and Pitfalls in a Complex Environment

Palo Alto executive compensation and benefits partner Joseph Yaffe discussed regulatory, litigation and other challenges facing executives and compensation committees during two panel discussions presented by J.P. Morgan on November 16. Mr. Yaffe and his co-panelists from J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Compensia, Inc. explored a range of topics, including balancing the tension between governance and compensation, CEO pay ratio issues, pay for performance that hits goals, and the influence of peer group selection on executive pay, as well as litigation and other concerns around director pay. The panel discussion was offered in two locations: J.P. Morgan's Palo Alto office, 310 University Avenue, from 8-9:30 a.m. (breakfast was served) and J.P. Morgan's San Francisco office, 560 Mission Street, 23rd Floor, from 12-1:30 p.m. (lunch was served).
