New York intellectual property and technology partner Jose Esteves and patent litigation counsel Marti Johnson spoke at "IP Monetization and Investment 2017: Maximize Your Financial and Strategic Options," a PLI seminar held on April 19 in New York. Mr. Esteves was chairperson of the event and both he and Ms. Johnson presented "IP Monetization: Techniques for the Current Landscape and Trade Secret Law Implications," providing an overview and analysis of key IP monetization techniques in the current landscape, including royalty monetization models, patent monetization strategies, and financing of and investments in technology. In addition, Mr. Esteves and Ms. Johnson shared insights on monetizing trade secrets under the new federal trade secrets law.
