On December 13, Skadden hosted the webinar “A Review of Recent Federal Antitrust Trials and Enforcement Efforts,” which reviewed 2023 activity, as well as a look ahead at what to expect in 2024. Skadden speakers included Washington, D.C. antitrust/competition head Tara Reinhart, New York litigation partner Boris Bershteyn and antitrust/competition counsel Evan Kreiner. The panelists explored the mixed results of the federal government’s merger challenges in 2023; the government’s successful challenges to company conduct, as well as trial losses in criminal wage fixing/employment cases; and recent civil verdicts and the risks and rewards of going to trial.
