On May 12, Skadden hosted the seminar “Exploring the Future: Trends and Transformations in Digital Assets” at the firm’s London office. The program examined the potential new U.K. cryptocurrency regime and how its development will shape the industry, and discussed practical strategies to help businesses seize new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve in the stablecoin sector. Skadden speakers included U.K./EU financial institutions regulatory head Sebastian Barling, who moderated the panel “Navigating the U.K.’s Forthcoming Crypto Regime”; and London corporate partner Simon Toms and European counsel Sarah Kang, who participated in the session “Stablecoins: Unlocking the Future” as moderator and panelist, respectively. External speakers included representatives from Aave, Agant, Barclays, BCB Bank, Coinbase, Kiln and OKX.
