Emma Ghaffari

Ms. Ghaffari joined Skadden in the summer of 2023. Her representations (at Skadden and previous firms) include:

• I Squared Capital on the acquisition of Arriva, a major European public transport operator headquartered in the U.K., from Deutsche Bahn AG
• a Jersey-based group of funds of funds on the sale of certain fund interests to a U.S. investor
• Mubadala on its (i) divestment of shares in Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and the associated renewable energy joint venture with ADNOC and TAQA, (ii) health care joint venture with G42 and (iii) sale of its Abu Dhabi Global Market property portfolio to Aldar
• Infinigate Group, a Bridgepoint portfolio company, on its acquisition of StarLink, a market-leading value-added distributor in cybersecurity, secure cloud and secure networking in the Middle East and Africa
• an international food and beverage group on several transactions, including the buyout of minority investors from its operations across the MENA region
• CVC Capital Partners on the acquisition of Ahlsell, the Nordic region’s leading technical products wholesaler
• Cinven on its (i) acquisition of German life insurance group Heidelberger Leben, (ii) investment in Nordic software group Visma and (iii) disposal of allergy diagnostics business Phadia to Thermo Fischer Scientific Inc.
• London Stock Exchange-listed Premier Foods plc on the sale of its sweet pickle business and the connected Class 1 circular process
• Spire Healthcare on its dual-track sale/IPO process (resulting in its listing on the London Stock Exchange)

Prior to joining Skadden, Ms. Ghaffari worked in the Dubai, London and Stockholm offices of other international law firms, in addition to serving as European M&A counsel at a leading private equity firm.
