Bio
Guilhem Le Gars has several years of experience managing complex corporate criminal cases that involve French or cross-border issues and proceedings.
Mr. Le Gars represents corporate clients, executives and high-profile individuals in complex and high-stakes cases before criminal courts in France.
Prior to joining Skadden, he worked for several years at a French boutique law firm that focuses on criminal law, including corporate and financial criminal matters.
His experience prior to joining Skadden includes representing, among others:
- SNCF, the French national railway company, in its prosecution following the derailment of a high-speed train in Eckwersheim in 2015 and an accident in Brétigny-sur-Orge in 2013
- a former French politician in Cour de justice de la République proceedings related to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic
- the alleged intermediary in a corruption case involving large oil companies and €8 billion in oil and gas infrastructure contracts
Mr. Le Gars was a lecturer at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University for several years and sits on the jury for the final oral exam for admission to the Paris Bar School.
