Bio
Cedric Nys advises clients on all aspects of EU, U.K. and international competition law, including multijurisdictional merger control. He has been involved in several high-profile and complex cross-border transactions requiring merger control approvals before the European Commission, U.K. Competition and Markets Authority and other competition authorities around the world.
Mr. Nys’ experience includes advising:
- Cloud Software Group, Inc. on its acquisition of Arctera from funds affiliated with The Carlyle Group Inc.
- Hillenbrand, Inc. on its acquisition by an affiliate of Lone Star Funds at an enterprise value of $3.8 billion
- Intelsat S.A. on its $3.1 billion acquisition by SES S.A.
- Mars, Incorporated on its $35.9 billion acquisition of Kellanova
- MGX, as part of a consortium with Global Infrastructure Partners and the Artificial Infrastructure Partnership, on the $40 billion acquisition of Aligned Data Centers, LLC from funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management
- Netflix, Inc. on its proposed (but terminated) $82.7 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.
- Scopely, Inc. on its $3.5 billion acquisition of the games business of Niantic, Inc.
- Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc. on its $8.3 billion acquisition by The Boeing Company
- The Travel Corporation on its acquisition by funds advised by Apollo Global Management, Inc.
- ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. on its $4.2 billion acquisition by Hapag-Lloyd AG
- Zurich Insurance Group on its $600 million acquisition of the global personal travel insurance and assistance business of American International Group, Inc.
