Skadden Partners Named to American Lawyer's "45 Under 45" List of Outstanding Woman Lawyers

Skadden partners Z. Julie Gao and Allison Schneirov have been named to The American Lawyer's "45 Under 45" list of outstanding women lawyers (January 2011 issue). Hong Kong-based Julie Gao is singled out for advising multiple Chinese companies as they enter the U.S. capital markets via listings on the NYSE and Nasdaq exchanges. Ms. Gao also is praised as "a font of knowledge" for Asian start-up companies. Allison Schneirov, based in New York, is cited for her advice to private equity firms Permira and Blackstone in especially complex and fast-paced transactions. The publication also noted that Ms. Schneirov is the youngest member of the firm's policy committee and, according to a client, "displayed an unusually high level of maturity, judgment and command of the table" even before becoming a partner.
