Jackson Hewitt’s Reorganization Plan Approved

Skadden represented Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in the confirmation of its prepackaged Chapter 11 reorganization by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, announced on August 8. Under the plan, lenders will swap secured debt for ownership of the company and a new $100 million loan. This is one of the only partial-prepackaged cases that also discharged class action claims.
