On March 23-27, Skadden partners participated in various event programming during Paris Arbitration Week:

  • On March 24, international litigation and arbitration Americas head Julie Bédard, London partner Samuel Pape and Paris counsel Valentin Autret hosted the panel “Arbitration Reinvented: Changing Everything So That Nothing Changes?” The session explored whether international arbitration can reinvent itself without compromising its fundamental nature and identified avenues for improving the arbitration process in the future.
  • On March 25, Ms. Bédard, Mr. Pape and Mr. Valentin were joined by Paris white collar defense and investigations partners Margot Sève and Emmanuel Marsigny and New York international litigation and arbitration partner Timothy Nelson to speak at a Skadden-hosted general counsel/in-house counsel dinner to “address the unprecedented challenges facing legal teams in today’s volatile global environment.”
  • On March 26, Ms. Bédard moderated the panel “Arbitrating Joint Venture Disputes in Italy, Brazil and Canada: Perspectives on Corporate and Contractual Claims,” organized by the Brazilian, Canadian and Italian ICC National Committees and hosted by Skadden in its Paris office.
