Skadden's Corporate Restructuring team in New York is seeking outstanding lateral candidates (Class of 2020-2018) with proficiency in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Ideal candidates should have substantial company-side experience as well as a mix of other representations (including representation of creditors and lenders). High level of academic achievement, bankruptcy court clerkships and experience in the restructuring practice of a peer firm are preferred qualifications. Qualified candidates should be admitted to practice law in New York. The starting base salary for this New York position is expected to be between $310,000 to $390,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.

The Corporate Restructuring Group at Skadden provides innovative solutions to clients involved in distressed company situations, allowing clients to enhance value, minimize costs and properly position themselves for the future. We represent troubled companies, boards of directors, management, owners, creditors, lenders, investors and acquirors in the full spectrum of in- and out-of-court restructuring transactions, including financial recapitalizations, business reorganizations, acquisitions and liquidations. Our lawyers also advise on insolvency issues in corporate and financing transactions and on all aspects of distressed debt trading and securities issues.
