A recent Court of Appeal of England and Wales ruling has revived a £14 billion class action filed on behalf of more than 46 million U.K. consumers against Mastercard. The decision, which adopted a broad approach to class certification, raises questions as to how English law and practice will develop in the recently reformed area of class actions.
