Bio

Anita Oh represents public and private companies in complex commercial transactions involving intellectual property, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Ms. Oh regularly advises clients across the AI ecosystem on strategic transactions, compute and infrastructure commitments, IP and data licensing, and compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks. She also counsels clients in a broad range of industries, such as traditional and new media, fintech, gaming, robotics and defense.

Prior to starting her legal career, Ms. Oh was a broadcast journalist for a global television network. She has co-authored numerous articles on AI and digital assets. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, supporting initiatives that promote youth literacy and the arts and advising nonprofit organizations on IP, branding and technology licensing matters.

Her representative transactional matters include:

  • a global leader in AI infrastructure in various matters
  • Bytedance Ltd. in various matters, including data licensing agreements for AI model training, product counseling on AI products and features and privacy-related matters
  • ON Semiconductor in its $7 billion acquisition of Synaptics
  • Activision Blizzard in its $75 billion acquisition by Microsoft Corporation
  • an international media conglomerate in connection with a digital assets venture
  • MDA Space in its $650 million acquisition of Blue Canyon Technologies
  • Fanatics in connection with an acquisition related to its prediction markets business
  • Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. in the $300 million sale of Crystal Dynamics, Inc., Eidos Interactive Corp. and an IP catalogue to Embracer Group AB
  • SP Plus Corporation in its:
    • $1.8 billion merger with Metropolis Technologies, Inc.
    • acquisition of DIVRT’s autonomous parking solutions assets
  • an international defense company in its acquisition of autonomous robot defense solutions
  • various clients in drafting data license agreements, commercial agreements, terms of service and privacy policies for AI products and services
  • Air Products in its $1.81 billion sale of its LNG business to Honeywell
  • Edwards Lifesciences Corporation in the $4.2 billion carve-out of its Critical Care product group to Becton, Dickinson and Company
